This project is located in Golden Meadow, LA on LA Highway 1 and its objective is to improve flood protection for the people and property within the Larose to Golden Meadow Hurricane Protection Levee System and improve the exiting LA Highway 1 horizontal curve near this flood structure.  The objective of this project is to improve flood protection by installing a swing gate that will span over LA Highway 1, an existing two lane highway along Bayou Lafourche that crosses the levee section and realign LA Highway 1 to improve vehicular safety.
